“What stimulates my creativity comes directly from African expressionism and my ancestral references. It also arrives from European Expressionism culminating at a Brazilian cultural diversity in a very rich information source.

I do not pretend to portray God or any divinity. I want to portray what is at the centre of what governs knowledge.

My work is based on memory, heritage and on everything that comes from my ancestors. But it is also an intercultural and multicultural dialogue. Because I am a Native American, I speak of my identity, the result of interbreeding colonialism of the African diaspora and slavery of Africans in Brazil and in the World ”
