S.A.P.E. stands for Société des Ambianceurs et Personnes Élégantes, in English: The Society of Ambiance-Makers and Elegant People.
In other words, it is everything we should all be! Posh (as we can) and funny (as we can be) creators of a better society.
S.A.P.E. emerged from the ghettos of Brazzaville and Paris during the 1960’s bringing artistic inspiration to those who want to introduce better attitude to life through fashion, art, style, dress code and creativity.
This is an African response to Dandy movement and a cry to creativity no matter what!

S. A. P. E. community devotes loyalty to the art of dressing bring it to an artistic level.
Check out the video when a member from S.A.P.E. community in Paris complains about high prices for Yohji Yamamoto’s fashion pieces!
That is when every piece of cloth has to speak by itself in order to create a better and magnified identity!
I simply love this concept.
